"Where Virginia begins"
We were proud to unveil a new 52-foot-long Heritage Wall exhibit in celebration of Lee County Community Hospital’s first anniversary!
This exhibit features photographs, mementos and descriptions that tell the story of the Lee County community through the eyes of those who have lived there.
A native of Lee County, Theresa Hammons, helped curate content for this special wall. “I wanted to create the exhibition’s narrative in a way that would advance the understanding of the complex, interconnected relationships developed through the social and economic life of the people who have called this part of Southwest Virginia home,” said Hammons.
The Heritage Wall covers an entire section of Lee County Community Hospital’s administrative hallway, and patients and visitors are welcome to view the historical display.
